The CANZA team is a passionate group of changemakers from across Canada’s agri-food landscape, working together to shape the future of food. With deep expertise and a shared vision for a thriving, sustainable system, we foster bold ideas, meaningful partnerships, and long-term impact across the sector.
CANZA operates as a solution space of Generate Canada, an independently incorporated charity since 1996, which is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
The Strategic Council (StratCo) is CANZA’s senior strategy and oversight body. StratCo brings together sector leaders to help guide CANZA’s direction, ensure focus on shared priorities, and support strong, transparent decision-making. The Council approves strategic priorities and annual work plans, reviews progress toward outcomes and key performance indicators, and provides sector insights and advice to the CANZA Secretariat. StratCo also plays a key role in upholding the organization’s integrity and anti-trust commitments.
