CANZA's Partnership Model

As  an innovation-focused and action-oriented systems change initiative, CANZA recognizes the importance of drawing on the expertise and energy of others, and is committed to an open and inclusive approach.  This includes actively engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the agri-food value chain including farmers, food producers, retailers, financial institutions, policymakers, scientists, academics and others.

Our mission to remove 150 Mt of emissions from Canada’s agri-food sector by 2050 is an enormous challenge requiring an “all hands on deck” approach.

This means we’ll need increased involvement from:

  • the private sector to provide leadership, expertise and investment to help advance new technologies, adopt new practices, and open up new markets.
  • the public sector to enable and incentivize the above through smart public policy, research, infrastructure and by de-risking the transition through grants & investments.
  • farmers & entrepreneurs to harness the opportunities provided from the above to amplify their expertise and assets to scale new practices for generations to come

CANZA members will participate in knowledge development, act as project partners and funders, and provide input to how we evolve our work across the complex range of activities in Canada’s agri-food sector.

If you are interested in being involved in one capacity or another please complete the form at the bottom of this page.
