As an innovation-focused and action-oriented systems change initiative, CANZA recognizes the importance of drawing on the expertise and energy of others, and is committed to an open and inclusive approach. This includes actively engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the agri-food value chain including farmers, food producers, retailers, financial institutions, policymakers, scientists, academics and others.
Our mission to remove 150 Mt of emissions from Canada’s agri-food sector by 2050 is an enormous challenge requiring an “all hands on deck” approach.
This means we’ll need increased involvement from:
CANZA members will participate in knowledge development, act as project partners and funders, and provide input to how we evolve our work across the complex range of activities in Canada’s agri-food sector.
If you are interested in being involved in one capacity or another please complete the form at the bottom of this page.

“Farmers have been embracing climate-smart agricultural practices for decades, but now it’s time for the country to get fully behind them. That means supporting coordinated initiatives that help the agri-food sector reduce emissions and finding more ways to reward farmers for what they preserve, not just what they produce. Our bank is proud to support CANZA and its focused mission to shift from strategy to action on our net-zero transition.”
